Setting the Scene for this Sunflower Wedding Day
On a warm, sunny day in late August 2021, Chris & Hayle tied the knot in his parents backyard. Like so many other weddings in 2020 and 2021, their plans changed last minute due to government restrictions. Hayle told us “We didn’t have a choice as it was a last minute change due to Covid because our venue was in another state with different restrictions.” However, Chris’s mom stepped up to the plate and helped a lot with the couples wedding planning. The bride told us her vision for this sunflower wedding was rustic and the groom’s mom did ‘a phenomenal job’.
The couple grew up in the same small town with their parents being good friends. Specifically, Chris’s mom is best friends with Hayle’s best friends mom. Because they have a lot of close connections they had been friends since highschool. They both took their own path in life, but reconnected about 4 years ago and that’s when their love story began.
What We Did for this Sunflower Wedding
We already knew Hayle because we all live in the same small town with connections to the local school district. Through that connection, Tom, our lead technician discovered that Hayle had a poor experience with the DJ she had hired. Hayle says “I wasn’t worried until we made a quick decision and were screwed over in the end. Don’t RUSH finding a DJ. Take proper time and really look into them. We eventually were not contacted back, ignored by text, phone, and email. But then we met Tom and Eve who literally saved the day and offered their services and so much more! We appreciate them both so much!”
Even though Hayle reached out to us last minute for her sunflower wedding because of the situation she found herself in, we were happy to provide service! The couple booked our Premium Disc Jockey Package including Ceremony Sound. We were thrilled to assist by coordinating & providing sound for their entire wedding day. The Uplighting was a perfect addition under the white tent. We chose vibrant red & orange to compliment the rustic color scheme they had chosen.
Wondering how to pick the right DJ so you don’t experience the stress that Hayle & Chris did? Here’s a list of things to consider before hiring a wedding DJ.
Who Else Served this Sunflower Wedding?
We were already excited to serve Chris & Hayle’s Sunflower Wedding. But when we found out who we were working alongside we were THRILLED. For many years now we’ve had the honor of working alongside some of the best wedding professionals in Erie County. For this wedding we found out we were paired in what we have begun calling ‘The Wedding Dream Team.” Officiating the ceremony was our favorite Pastor Shane Thompson. Capturing the couples professional photos was the highly sought after Frederick Dunn! And lastly, we were overjoyed to see that Aunt Theresa who runs Grape Country Cakes & Cookies created a stunning sunflower wedding cake for the couple.
Part of what goes along with hiring the most professional wedding DJ is understanding what to budget for service. Most couples don’t know so they end up booking the least expenseive option which is also usually the least experienced. And, like Halle and Chris discovered, it’s not a fun experience. How much does a pro cost?
What the Bride Has to Say
This Sunflower Wedding was one we’ll always look back on with fond memories. We can’t thank Hayle & Chris enough for allowing us the honor to be a part of their day. But, what was Hayle’s favorite part? “Everything was perfect and beautiful. But, definitely our flower men. They were given the position and outdid themselves.” says Hayle. In addition Hayle reminds other brides again “Do NOT settle. Do your research and meet with the Wedding Vendors a couple of times before making any decisions.”
